Consultant Hon. Justice (Ret’d) Goh Joon Seng appointed to Appointing Committee in respect of disciplinary proceedings relating to the Singapore International Commercial Court

Lee & Lee is pleased to note that our Consultant, the Hon. Justice (Ret’d) Goh Joon Seng, has been appointed by the Chief Justice to the Appointing Committee constituted under section 36Q of the Legal Profession Act in respect of disciplinary proceedings relating to the Singapore International Commercial Court (“SICC”). Justice Goh’s two year term took effect from 1 January 2015.

Foreign lawyers who appear before the SICC will be subject to the oversight of the Supreme Court. The Appointing Committee is part of the disciplinary framework governing such foreign lawyers.
